If craniofacial pains are described as “pressure”/”burning “(also pain provoked by activity and goes away with rest) think cardiac. If described as “aching”/”throbbing” think dental origin.

Patients often cannot ID which tooth is causing pain, especially on posterior teeth. However, the patient can often ID the area (within 1 tooth) the pain is coming from and it rarely refers pain across the midline
